Cathy Catalano Scott

Cathy Catalano Scott is a long-time Emmaus volunteer and benefactor. Cathy first started volunteering with Emmaus in 2007 as a PAL through Horizons for Homeless Children. She's also participated in Emmaus' Cycle for Shelter event for the last nine years and along with her husband, Chris, is a member of the Road Home Giving Society.
"It's the little things that make it worthwhile--like when you walk in and a kid jumps into your arms and is so glad to see you. To realize that maybe I am making things a little better for a child, even by just spending two hours with them that night."

Katherine Underwood, News Reporter NBC10 Boston

Katherine Underwood is an award-winning journalist who joined NBC Boston and NECN in 2014. While covering the First in the Nation Primary, Katherine spent most of the last year and half on the campaign trail, meeting and interviewing all of the 2016 presidential candidates. Katherine came to NBC Boston from CBS13 News in Portland, Maine where she spent two years as a general assignment reporter. Before Maine, Katherine lived in Albany, New York as a reporter for FOX23 News. She was in the Capital Region when Tropical Storm Irene came barreling through and wiped out entire neighborhoods. Katherine’s coverage of the storm gained national attention and her stories about the recovery efforts in the months following were recognized by the Associated Press. Katherine’s first full-time job on-air was in Elmira, New York at WENY-TV, where she was an anchor and reporter. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a double major in Journalism and Latin American studies.
Katherine grew up in southern New Hampshire, where her parents still reside. She and her husband, Kyle, now live in Haverhill, MA with their beloved Mini Schnauzer, Louie. On January 30 of this year, the couple welcomed their first child, a sweet baby girl named Thea Caroline. Katherine also has served as the co-host for Emmaus’ Annual gala “Stepping Out with the Valley Stars” for the past two years.
